Enable the Built-in SCEP Templates
If you’ve opted not to use custom encryption and signing templates (see Create Custom Keyfactor SCEP Templates (Optional)), you will need to enable the built-in templates to allow the Keyfactor SCEP server to acquire the certificates it needs to operate.
To enable the built-in CEP Encryption and Exchange Enrollment Agent (Offline request) certificate templates on a CA:
- On the CA that will issue the Keyfactor SCEP infrastructure certificates, open the Certification Authority management tool.
- In the Certification Authority management tool, right-click the Certificate Templates folder and choose New->Certificate Template to Issue. Select the CEP Encryption template from the list presented and click OK.
- In the Certification Authority management tool, right-click the Certificate Templates folder and choose New->Certificate Template to Issue. Select the Exchange Enrollment Agent (Offline request) template from the list presented and click OK.
